Set up Kubernetes test environments for TestOps

In Katalon TestOps, you can create a Kubernetes (EKS) test environment to execute or schedule Test Runs.

Set up a Kubernetes Test Environment

Note:
  • Compatible with Kubernetes version 1.25 or earlier. The setup works best with version 1.25 or later.

To set up a Kubernetes Test Environment, follow these steps:
  1. Sign in to Katalon TestOps and go to TestOps Settings > Organization Setup.

  2. Click on the Kubernetes tab.

  3. Click on the Create Kubernetes Test Environment button at the upper right corner.

  4. In the Agent Name section, create a name for the Agent (e.g., Kubernetes Agent).
  5. In the following URL, Certificate Authority, and Namespace section, input your Kubernetes information.
  6. The Authentication Type section has a dropdown menu with 3 options:
    • Username / Password

    • Token

    • AWS/EKS

    Select the one you'd like to use and input your information as prompted. In the sample image, Token was selected.Kubernetes Test Environment setup in Katalon TestOps.

  7. Click Test Connection to ensure your information is correct.
  8. Click Create.
You've set up your Kubernetes Test Environment. The next step is to assign your agent to a project. To learn how, see: Manage the Agent status.

If you've already done both, then you can Schedule test runs.
